Far From Equal

In America they say "All Men Are Created Equal" but is that the truth. I guess it would depend on what side of the fence your standing on. From where I stand I have never believed that. Since the beginning of time black people were not even called human, they were referred to as live stock, So when were we equal. Yes throughout the years we were not called livestock but as we see instances on the news about racial discrimination it sure does seem as though we have moved away from the labeling and are just treated as such.

If Thomas Jefferson was right everyone would  have an equal chance at reaching success. We would  need to simply work hard and play by the rules and we will get ahead. Now that sounds like a good deal. As children we are encouraged that when we grow up, we can be anything we want to be. So not true. So how can all men are created equal be anywhere near true.
